English Editing Internship

Your Responsibilities:

Assist UCCA’s English Editor and Communications Department with Chinese-to-English translation and English language writing and editing for materials including but not limited to:

1.Exhibition materials including exhibition forewords, texts for exhibition leaflets, wall texts, press releases, exhibition announcements and more.

2.Similar materials for UCCA collaborations and special events

3.Text for UCCA event listings and posters

4.Assist with the management of and draft posts for UCCA’s English language social media accounts, primarily Instagram.

An ideal candidate:

1.Has native-level English skills and strong Chinese skills, or native-level Chinese skills and very strong English skills. An interest in the craft of writing in English and study in relevant fields (literature, journalism, history, art history, etc.) is preferred.

2.Is interested in contemporary art, in particular Chinese contemporary art.

3.Is familiar with art-related vocabulary in English, or has experience writing about arts and culture.

4.Is proficient in office software (MS Word, Excel).
