For this conversation, UCCA is proud to invite renowned British sculptor Antony Gormley to share experiences from the past 35 years of his artistic career including the execution of his recent site-specific installation HOST, which uses approximately 95 cubic meters of red clay from Beijing's Changping district and seawater from Tianjin to flood the central space of Galleria Continua to a depth of 23 centimetres. Along with Martin Caiger-Smith (Head of the MA Curating the Art Museum programme, The Courtauld Institute of Art), Gormley delves into the aspects of time and space in his larger works and describes the influence of Eastern religions on his development.
