ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

In his childhood, Yutaka Kobayashi used to adventure around the neighborhood. Because of the love of journey, he started painting. “I am afraid that I would forget what I saw during the journey, so I started to draw. With my pen, the weather, the landscape, the people, everything that I saw is kept in my memory. That’s how I memorize things.” Along the 36°North Latitude, he spent more than 10 years traveling through the Middle East and Asia and turning what he saw into numerous paintings. From his work, we can also see his anti-war position.
