On the evening before the opening of the Second Festival of German Cinema, UCCA hosts the lecture " Classifying Movies in a Globalized World" Christiane von Wahlert, managing director of the Voluntary Self-Regulatory Body of the German Film Industry (Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle der Filmwirtschaft/FSK) will speak on the protection of minors from harmful media in Germany and report on the International Film Classifiers Conference that was held at the end of October in Norway.

The Second Festival of German Cinema in China is hosted by German Films and the Goethe-Institut China and will take place from November 14 to 29 in Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen, and Hangzhou. Once again, as part of this year’s festival special screenings, workshops, roundtable discussions, and cultural events will be offered to advance cultural exchange between Chinese and German filmmakers and experts. The festival offers both young and seasoned film industry professionals a space for creative exchange and sets impulses for new ideas and projects.
