Accompanying "New Directions: Li Ming" on 14 November, the artist along with collaborators Yang Junling and Lin Ke share ten years of exploration and collaboration of works on film. Members of the collective Double Fly Art Centre, the trio agreed to meet every 1 June to record improvised performances. Here, UCCA screens the films, allowing the artists to discuss their creative and professional development.

Li Ming (Artist)
Currently based in Hangzhou, Li Ming (b. 1986, Hunan) graduated from the China Academy of Art, New Media Art Department in 2008. A member of the art collective Double Fly Art Center, his works have been shown at Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum, Michigan State University, Fremantle Arts Centre, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China Central Academy of Fine Arts Museum (CAFAM), Beijing, Iberia Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, Himalayas Art Museum, Shanghai, MOCA Shanghai, and Today Art Museum, Beijing. Li Ming's works are in public collections including Rubell Family Collection, Miami, Spencer Museum of Art, University of Kansas, and White Rabbit Collection, Sydney.
Lin Ke (Artist)
Lin Ke (b. 1984, Zhejiang province) graduated from the new media arts department of the China Academy of Fine Arts. He lives and works in Beijing. From 2010 he began a series using computer-generated video and images. He has won the "OCAT- Pierre Huber Art Prize" (2014) and the "9th AAC Art of the Chinese Youth Artist Award" (2015). Lin Ke is a member of the art group Double Fly Art Center.
Yang Junling (Artist)
A graduate of the new media arts department of the China Academy of Fine Arts and currently based in Beijing, Yang Junling is a founding member of Double Fly Art Centre and a pioneer in the WeChat auctioneering, developing the "Top China Auction Association" in November 2013. A year later, he initiated "KTV Recording", a monthly supportive opportunity for artists to share and discuss their works while also recording their practices.
