Elderly Beto is the custodian of a luxurious, empty house in Mexico City. For years, he has cleaned the home and maintained its vast inner gardens, his only contact with the outside world being irregular visits from the owner and weekly sessions with Lupe, a prostitute. When the house is sold, Beto is forced out, unable to deal with a society that he barely knows.
