Chen Danqing (Artist)

Chen Danqing was born in Shanghai 1953, freelance, art critic. Chen is the curator of Muxin Art Museum.

Leng Jun (Artist)

Leng Jun graduated from the School of Art of Wuhan Normal College, Hankou campus. He is member of Chinese artists association, council member of China Oil Painting Society and member of oil painting art committee. He is the former president of Wuhan Fine Art Academy, incumbent vice chairman of Wuhan Federation of Literary and Art Circles, president of Wuhan artists association, vice president of Hubei Federation of Literary and Art Circles, vice president of Hubei artists association.

Liu Xiaodong (Artist)

Liu Xiaodong graduated from the third art studio of Department of Oil painting of Central Academy of Fine Arts. Now teaches in the third art studio of Department of Oil painting of Central Academy of Fine Arts.

Liu Ye (Artist)

Liu Ye graduated from the Department of Mural Painting of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He received bachelor and master degrees in University of the Art Berlin (former Academy of Arts Berlin). Liu works and lives in Beijing. His works have been collected by galleries, museums and private collectors both in China and abroad.

Mao Yan (Artist)

Mao Yan was born in Xiangtan, Hunan province in 1968. He graduated from Department of Oil Painting of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1991. Now lives in Nanjing. Mao is renown for his conceptual portrait paints. The extreme tendency of expressionism derives from artist’s meticulous sense of esthetic, which is the foundation of his technique. Mao’s characteristic concept and style matured in middle 90s, which represents a high level of Chinese realistic painting.

Wang Xingwei (Artist)

Wang Xingwei was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province in 1969. Graduated from Art Department of College of Education, Shenyang University. Now lives and works in Beijing as a freelance.

Yu Hong (Artist)

Yu Hong graduated from Central Academy of Fine Arts. She received master degree in 1994. Now teaches in the Department of Oil Painting of Central Academy of Fine Arts. Her artworks have been collected by collectors both in China and abroad.

Zhang Enli (Artist)

Zhang Enli was born in Jilin province in 1965. Painter. Now lives and works in Shanghai.

Philip Tinari (Director of UCCA)

Philip Tinari has served as director of Ullens Center for Contemporary Art (UCCA), the museum at the heart of Beijing's 798 Art District, since late 2011. In his six-year tenure, he has mounted more than sixty exhibitions and organized a wide range of public programs and development activities. His program has introduced to China major international artists including Robert Rauschenberg, William Kentridge, Taryn Simon, Tino Sehgal and David Diao, and has tracked the evolving Chinese art scene through retrospectives and surveys of artists including Zeng Fanzhi, Liu Wei, Xu Zhen, Wang Xingwei, Kan Xuan, and Gu Dexin, as well as initiatives focused on emerging artists such as the 2013 survey “ON | OFF: China's Young Artists in Concept and Practice,” the international group exhibition “The New Normal: China, Art, and 2017,” and the ongoing exhibition series “New Directions.”

Prior to joining UCCA, he was founding editor of LEAP, the internationally distributed, bilingual art magazine published by the Modern Media Group. He is a contributing editor of Artforum, having previously served as founding editor of that magazine's online Chinese edition, artforum.com.cn. Tinari was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2015 and to the Public Intellectuals Program of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations in 2016. He holds degrees from Duke and Harvard, and is currently a D.Phil. candidate in art history at Oxford. He is co-curator, with Alexandra Munroe and Hou Hanru, of the exhibition “Art and China after 1989: Theater of the World,” which opens at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in October 2017.
