Location:  UCCA Auditorium
Language:  English with Chinese translation

In UCCA’s latest exhibition “The Chinese Photobook,” China’s modern history, from the early twentieth century up to the present, is explored in six chapters from the singular prism of the photobook. Part of a new trend in art historical research reappraising the value and role of the photobook as medium, the exhibition is the conclusion of an extended research project initiated in 2007 by photographic revolutionary Martin Parr and Beijing- and London-based, Dutch photography team WassinkLundgren.

UCCA is honored to invite WassinkLundgren, Lesley Martin (Publisher), and Gu Zheng (Critic) to discuss the exhibition with UCCA Director Philip Tinari.
