As the newly-appointed curator of Chinese Pavilion at the 55^th International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia, Wang Chunchen in his newly-published books <The Democracy of Art> and <The Political Images> displays his academic research findings from daily observations. If the Venice Biennale is taken as a time node for Wang, those two books record his research processes leading him to this time node, which, from other side, show his research traces, his concerns with society and this epoch by the discussions of art.

Dr. Wang Chunchen is the Head of the Department of Curatorial Research of CAFA Art Museum at the Central Academy of Fine Arts China, as well as an Adjunct Curator of The Broad Art Museum of Michigan State University, in 2013 he is appointed as Curator of Pavilion of China at the 55th International Art Exhibition – la Biennale di Venezia, and also Deputy Principal Editor of Journal of Contemporary Chinese Art in UK.
