Qiu Zhijie is a contemporary Chinese artist who works primarily in video and photography. Common themes in his work are social fragmentation, transience and the struggle between the forces of destiny and self-assertion. Qiu Zhijie was born in 1969 in Fujian province and graduated from the Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts, Hangzhou, in 1992. He currently lives and works in Beijing.
Dr. Zhu Jin is Director of the Beijing Planetarium, President of Beijing After-School Education Association, President of Beijing Ancient Observatory, and Editor-in-chief of Astronomy Enthusiast. Zhu Jin graduated from Nanjing University in 1991, and holds a Doctoral degree in Astronomy.
Xia Tong graduated from the Geophysics Department of Peking University in 1989. She has worked in a variety of fields including earthquake monitoring, artificial intelligence, fashion and advertising. Ms. Xia went to Canada in 1998 to study film, and many of her works have been selected for screening at international film festivals. She also writes a science fiction column in the popular magazine Science Fiction World. She currently teaches in the Film Department of the Central Academy of Fine Art, and is a producing director for Oglivy Advertising. Since 2010, she has served as the director and editor for the Travel Channel program Art China.
Yao Haijun is the deputy editor-in-chief of Science Fiction World and a publisher of science fiction. Mr. Yao won an award from the General Administration of Press and Publication for his special contributions to the press and publishing industry.
Li Gen received a doctorate degree from the Institute for the History of Natural Science, and is a member of the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) at the Institute for the History of Natural Sciences (IHNS). His research is mainly focused on ancient Chinese astronomy.
