European Union Film Festival

European Union Film Festival is a film cultural exchange program organized by the European Union External Action Service (EEAS). The film festival aims at bringing the most representative and celebrated films from the 28 EU member states to Chinese audiences. All of the films are selected by experts from film festivals, film councils of EU member states’ governments, and the largest distributers in China and abroad. For “The Best of Cannes,” film councils select the best films from the Cannes Film Festival and present them in China. Chinese audiences are able to watch the films five months after they premiered in Cannes in May, allowing them to experience them “without any time lag.”
