Zhong Yongfeng is a well-known poet, lyricist, and NGO activist from Taiwan.His lyrics are often based on rural life in Taiwan, and he has twice been awarded Best Lyrics Writer at the“Golden Melody Awards”.

Zhong Yongfeng is a well-known poet, lyricist, and NGO activist from Taiwan.His lyrics are often based on rural life in Taiwan, and he has twice been awarded Best Lyrics Writer at the“Golden Melody Awards”.

He started to write a column for Traveler magazine in 2011, documenting his travels as well as his memories of Taiwan. We invited him to this salon to share his Hakka culture with us, to discuss the local history of his hometown, Meinong, and to talk about his inspiration, whether when writing lyrics or working with NGO’s.
