Beginning March 2014, UCCA and Ping Pong Productions (PPP) will launch the Performing Arts Platform Series of three interdisciplinary contemporary performing arts workshops. The March workshop, hosted in conjunction with American Cultural Center Tours (ACCT), explores how artistic movement and contemporary choreography can express different facets of the human condition.
Under the guidance of Ohio State University Department of Dance Chair Susan Van Pelt Petry, participants will learn contemporary dance techniques and have the opportunity to choreograph a short work of their own. Dancers from the university will then perform pieces from their repertoire from the 1950s to today.
