ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Cherry Film Festival is a video/film competition themed in “blossom youth”. In its “mini film” and “short film” units, selected works observe and document life from a youth perspective.

In BIFT month in UCCA, we will share these precious images with UCCA art cinema audiences, works including: Crossing Pingshi Street, A Tip of Bottleberg, Back to Life, Duoduo and Her Spring, and Green papers About Tomorrow.

FILM SYNOPSES

Crossing Pingshi Street
Ma Shi, 8.04 min. Beijing Film Academy
Synopsis: It’s a story about an unconventional, dirtily dressed young boy going through a street to see his friends. What change would happen after he crossing Pingshi street?

A Tip of Bottleberg
Liu Lichang. 15 min. Beijing Film Academy
Synopsis: This short film recorded a mountain of trash bottles in the suburb area of Beijing, and the people whose lives are all about these bottles.

Back to Life
Zhang Heng. 10.19 min. Beijing Film Academy
Synopsis: Wang Er, the main character, is a ordinary person. His life changed after he went for usury to buy a luxury bag for his girl friend.

Duoduo and Her Spring
Li Daming. 14.18 min. Beijing Film Academy
Synopsis: Duoduo just graduated from college and decide to stay to work in Beijing. The new marriage of her mother, the pressure of living in Beijing, and rejection from band all let her down. However, Life goes on.

Green Papers about Tomorrow
