In collaboration with Alliance Française Beijing, UCCA invites Eric Riewer, director of international relations for GOBELINS, l'école de l'image, to give a lecture on new methods and technological advancements in animation production. Reiwer will discuss new perspectives of the animators today and resultant trends in film production.
GOBELINS, l'école de l'image, is a prestigious visual arts school that has been educating filmmakers on the forefront of European animation since 1975. In addition to the lecture, Riewer will also show works from GOBELINS students.

Eric Riewer became the head of the animation department of GOBELINS in 1998 after working as the head of training for the Canal+ media group in Paris. In 2006, he became the director of international relations for the whole GOBELINS school.
GOBELINS, l'école de l'image, is a French school of applied arts, print, and digital media. The school plays a leading role in the digital revolution that has transformed animation production by nurturing new talents and new visions while sharpening the animation skills of its students. Its students’ works have earned many awards in international festivals, such as the Oscar-nominated Oktapodi.
