This month, Indie Film Forum will invite filmmaker Wei Xiaobo to share his own story-“ After graduation, they lived together in a rental room- I had a bad temper, she used to resign from one job and look for a new job, eat, sleep, make love, quarrel, be in a trance, and dream...day after day. I put on my camera stand at a corner and the camera recorded our daily life…In the foreseeable future, I cannot see any hope.” The Days unfold the director’s private life as a Truman Show. The film was shortlisted at Yunnan Multi Culture Visual Festival (2011). Wei Xiaobo told us that he hoped later generations would have a chance to witness civilian life in our era through the documentary.
