Polish contemporary artist Paweł Althamer incorporates social practice and relational aesthetics into his artworks. Paweł Althamer’s artworks are rooted in an awareness of the inextricable sociality of cultural production. He is creating an open-ended dialogue among participants in which communication takes place by interacting.

After the opening of the exhibition, UCCA invites Paweł Althamer and Philip Tinari to discuss the iconic works(Draftsmen’s Congress and Venetians ) in his first institutional exhibition in China, and to explore the relationship between individual identity, social relations, and the making of art.
