UCCA is pleased to invite Beijing Queer Chorus to perform at the concert “Spring Meets Summer” in June. Taking “Oriental Charm” as its theme, the concert weaves together many famous pop classics, including Rainbow, Spring Outing, Jasmine, Waiting for You till Tomorrow, and Spring Breeze Kisses My Face, that together give out a breezy summer vibe. One of Beijing Queer Chorus’s most important shows of the year, the concert sees their debut performance of Self. Adapted from legendary Hong Kong singer Leslie Cheung‘s eponymous song which is arguably the rainbow anthem of Chinese pop, Being Queer Chorus dedicates the song and their performance to the LGBT community’s lasting fight for authenticity and selfhood.
