The film tells a story about girl A who becomes confused and reflects on existence after a couple of emotional near-death experiences. Although she constantly deceives herself, she cannot help but face the cruel memory and mental wounds. Her elder generation has been plagued by disease and eventually qigong and traditional Chinese medicine fails to save them; a young companion commits suicide with no reason and merely leaves a camera for her. Eventually, she loses her loved one and kills her own baby. Then A meets the white-eyebrwowed girl Q who claims to be the offspring abandoned by a vampire. Incited by Q, A joins a strange women club set up by the mystery man SEN, an illusory religious shrine. The film fuses cults, eroticism, dancing, performance, theater and other elements. The surreal narrative calls to mind Plato’s ”Symposium” and the questions of “the meaning of existence” and ”the essence of love.”
